Shot Types

1. Low angle shot of Principle Jovi to represent the power, control and high authority the principle beholds at the start of the scene, representing the stereotypical "principle" image as well as the use of the mid shot emphasizes her intimidating body language. The camera would slowly tilt upwards starting from Principle Jovi's bold, gold name desk label to her head, whilst still keeping both Principle Jovi body language and the intimidating prop of the desk label.

2. A mid, reaction, two shot frame of Vanessa and Juno to represent the contrast between both characters, emphasizing the representation of my MACRO study of the stereotypes of mothers, presenting the difference between the two mothers from their body language, physical appearance, and their reactions from the principles meeting. This shot will also be a tight POV framing from the headmasters point of view to emphasis the power the principle has at the start of the scene by looking at the two mothers as "pupils" on the other side of her desk.

3. Two shot, medium close up, reaction shot to once again emphasis the difference between these two "mother" characters through their slightly angry expressions and how the small detail in their facial expressions, shows Vanessa reinforcing the stereotype mother image, and Juno challenging the stereotype mother image, hence why the next shot has gone from a mid shot to a medium close up, to slowly reveal the angry reactions of the two characters & to create a climax to the conclusion of the disruption.

4. A mid shot, reaction shot to when Britney is ease-dropping on the meeting outside the door, using a mid shot to show her sly body language, emphasis her physical similarity to Juno, and a reaction shot to emphasis the confusion on Britney’s face due to the argument about the deep secrets within her family. Therefore her stereotype mother (Vanessa) who tries to take on the perfect mother role is actually a disguise for her dark secrets.

5. A reaction shot, two shot, big close up of both Juno and Vanessa to represent the anger, rage and "out of character" emotions clearer whilst using a big close up to focus on the facial expressions due to the representing the highest climax point within the disruption.

6. A eye level, reaction, medium, and three shot of all the three characters in the office, all sharing the similar look of sudden shock, to which I think the eye level position is a good idea as it causes suspense to what the characters are shocked by. This shows the representation of the difference of the reinforcement of mother stereotypes and the challenges, once again, through the use of both Juno's and Vanessa's body language in comparison to each other, as well as the principle is represented at the start of the scene with power through the low angle, tilted shot, then within in this shot, towards the end of the scene, the principle is shown sitting down whilst the two mothers are standing up, representing her loss of control and authority within the situation, switching the roles with the mothers and herself.

7. A close up of Britney's face, as well as a reaction shot to represent the importance of the characters emotion, allowing the audience to be taken into the mind of the character, to have a insight into the emotions that Britney is feeling through the intense focus of her facial expression just through one shot. This represents Britney's vulnerable characteristic as a child, since although when she approaches the principles office in a independent manner whilst listening to heavy rock music to represent some sort of rebelling adolescence earlier in the scene then within this shot, it shows the vulnerability and innocence one would find within the typical stereotype of a child which Britney represents in this particular shot, her "child-like" image is expressed within this shot.

8. A over-the-shoulder shot with Vanessa's back facing the camera, and Juno's face facing the camera along with Vanessa's hand on Juno's shoulder in a pushing motion to which I think using a over-the-shoulder shot emphasises the power the two characters have on each other and reveals each of their personalities of Vanessa being a domineering mother, protecting what is hers (Britney), which reinforces her typical mother stereotype, and Juno still obtaining a child-like aura, despite being at the age of 30, whereas the shot represents this well as Juno appears weak compared to the angle Vanessa is shot in.

9. A big close up on Britneys mobile phone screen to show the extreme importance of the text message, then the camera would slowly tilts upwards to the previous message of "The test is positive. I'm pregnant." and slowly zoom in to that text message until the shot is black to show the vital importance of that one message which concludes the scene with a cliffhanger ending.
